San Francisco-based Narrowline, provider of a business-to-business online advertising exchange, named Sarah Nolan as president and CEO.
Nolan brings 25 years of management experience in transaction service businesses to Narrowline’s executive team, whose diverse expertise includes advertising, media and publishing, the company said. Founder and former CEO Tara Lemmey becomes chairman and chief strategic officer.
Nolan had been president and CEO of the OptionsLink division of Hambrecht & Quist, where she restructured the company and negotiated its sale. Nolan was also president of AMEX Life Assurance Company at American Express.
Early in her career, Nolan managed an investment business with $1 billion in assets at Marine Midland Bank in New York, and also worked as a senior associate at Booz Allen Hamilton.
“This industry is just beginning to see the e-commerce and business-to-business capabilities of the Internet taking hold,” said Nolan. “From the beginning, Narrowline has been ahead of its time. The company is now positioned to take advantage of this and grow exponentially.”
Narrowline operates the Narrowline Media Exchange, a media marketplace where advertising buyers and sellers can conduct business in a secure and neutral environment from their desktops.
