What it is
New York-based Sisense received new investments from Insight Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, DFJ Venture Capital, Genesis Partners, and Opus Capital.

This new round brings their total funding to $200m. With it, they’re looking to expand their international presence, specifically in customer success and field engineering.

Again demonstrating that video shows no sign of letting up anytime soon. Adobe’s upgrades include Adobe Sensei-powered animation, intelligent audio clean-up, selective color grading, data-driven infographics, and end-to-end VR 180 support.
Why it matters
Demands for video are ever on the rise, and top platforms are rushing to provide ever more powerful tools. Delivering high quality video is faster and easier — which also means that consumers may come to expect things like “180 degree immersive video” as the baseline of worth their watch.
What it is
Mass media company iHeartMedia finalized their acquisition of Stuff Media, which owns the podcasting business HowStuffWorks. Stuff Media will bring its popular content and strong creative to iHeartMedia’s already powerful scale and resources.
Why it matters
With this acquisition, iHeartMedia hopes to expand podcasting as a way for advertisers to reach their audiences across the country. While podcasting is not currently one of the most prolific advertising channels, it seems to be on the rise.
